Hiking

The Oystercatcher Trail, which is a three day hike, runs just past our Guest House.
On request we can organise three day tours along the coast of Mossel Bay and Dana Bay to Gouritsmond.

Mossel Bay - Dias Museum

The famous “Post Office Tree”, where seafarers used to leave letters for each other in the 15th and 16th century is situated here. The history of Mossel Bay is displayed in the Dias Museum Complex.

Steam Train

The famous "Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe" -steam train "www.transnetheritagefoundation.co.za (+27 (0) 44 801 8288) has picked up service again between George and Mossel Bay. It now connects the Outeniqua Transport-Museum in George with the "Dias-Museums-Complex" in Mossel Bay.

The 45 km route features beautiful landscapes. The train runs daily (except Sundays) from September to April and 3x a week from Mai to August. Departure in George at 10.00 am and arrival at Mossel Bay Station at 11.30am – Departure from Mossel Bay Station at 15.00pm – Arrival in George at 16.30. Single and Return tickets available.

Daytrips

You can reach Oudtshoorn, with its famous ostrich farms and cave systems (Cango Caves) via the beautiful Outeniqua-Pass.

Knysna- the lagoon town with waterfront and oyster farms can be best visited from the Heads.
